Zoo to the Rescue
by John Kerdolff, Marsha Kerdolff (Illustrator)
What is a city to do when their bridge is covered in goo?
Why not call the zoo!?
Will the animals get there in time? How will these creatures use their unique features?
Luckily, this wild construction crew is ready for a fiery rescue!
The story is about a truck carrying goo that spills all over a bridge. To clean the mess, the animals from the zoo come to the rescue. There is a wonderful variety of animals that my son enjoyed finding on each page. I really liked the style of illustrations. It gave the book a really unique look that you don’t see in most books. My son and I each picked our favorite animal that we saw and I liked the beaver while he liked the one zebra climbing the giraffe's neck. The book is fun and has a lot of rhymes to follow along with. It also shows how teamwork can get the job done to fix the bridge mess.
