What I Would Wish to Be
By Michele L Sayre, Christina Cartwright (Illustrator) Trey and his father go on an adventure of epic proportions. Imagine how amazing any individual’s life could be if they were to become whatever or whomever they wish to be. There are no limits on what a person can imagine. If your imagination is big like Trey’s is, then the adventure can be huge. Come along for the ride and see what anyone could imagine themselves to be. In the end, hopefully they see themselves as happy. This is a great fun book with lots of imagination. My kids liked that there were lots of quick pages. It makes them feel like they can read well when they go through a book fast. The book shows a loving bond between the father and Trey as they spend the day together. While playing with trains, the father asks Trey “if you could be anything you wanted, what would you wish to be?” Throughout the story Trey tells his dad about all the silly things he’d want to be; a seal, an oak tree, a bee, a moon beam, and more. The illustrations do a great job of bringing Trey’s wishes to life. We get to see Trey transform into each of the things that he wants to be. But his father reminds him of the most important thing that Trey forgot to be; himself. This is a great early reader book with short pages and lots of illustrations. It's a great conversation starter as you can ask your kids the things that they would like to be. Purchase the book on Amazon See more inside the book on Instagram
