Trick or Treat: The Story of the Switch Witch and How She Came to Be
by Antoinette Corley-Newman, Noor Alshalabi (Illustrator) Every year on October 31, the witch and warlock children of Transylvania jump on their magic brooms and fly into town to take part in the mortal's Harvests celebration. Although she enjoys the festivities, Abigail - the most precocious little witch of them all - wishes to bring back enough mortal treats to share with all of Transylvania to enjoy all year long! One day, after accidentally slipping into her mother's brewing pot, Abigail comes up with a brilliant plan. Join Abigail as she embarks on a delightful and historical journey to change the mortal Harvest celebration to the miraculous birth of Trick or Treat and how the Switch Witch came to be. If you love Halloween and witches, then you will love this book. The illustrations are outstanding. This is the kind of book my son and I love looking at around Halloween time. We have more Halloween books than anything. In this story you will see Abigail come up with a few great plans to get more mortal treats for the witches and warlocks. My son loved it because he liked hearing about all the candy they were eating. The character Abigail kind of reminds me of a mix between Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy. At the end of the story she ends up coming up with a plan to visit all of the homes around the world on Halloween and with the help of the people, they leave mortal treats on their doorstep for Abigail to switch with a present. This provides Abigail and the other witches and warlocks with enough mortal treats for the entire year. Purchase on Amazon See more inside the book on Instagram
