Amanda and Sabrina are sisters and best friends who love reading mystery books and watching mystery shows and movies. The sisters even solve mysteries in their neighborhood. So, when the beloved dog of their neighbor, Mrs. Wetzel, goes missing, the girls spring into action. The clues lead the girls on an adventure throughout the city of Lakeview, as they race to find the cute little dog. Follow along with Amanda and Sabrina as they follow the clues to try to find Sparkles and discover who took her.

I read this to my son in 2nd grade and this was his first mystery book and he loved it. Now he wants to read the other mystery books I had saved for him until he was a little older. The book is longer than my normal children's books but it only has 6 chapters. It took us a few days to read it before bed. It was great to read a mystery book with him to try to figure out what is going on and have our little discussions about the book. This is definitely a great early reader book to get your little one introduced into the genre. As soon as you read the ending, your kids are going to want to read the next one.
