When you do, a wonderful story awaits you. The Lost Sock is about a young girl named Patty who loses one of her beloved socks and tries very hard to find it. But she needs your help! Patty needs you to give her hope that someday she will find the lost sock. You must believe that the lost sock will return to Patty and back on her foot where it belongs.

This was such a cute story. I loved the illustrations and the sock choice. I don’t think I ever saw a sock with buttons on it before. My son kept asking me, “what do you use the buttons for.” How Patty does everything with her sock reminds me of my son. He used to always bring a toy and just have it by him when he was doing anything. Even if he wasn’t using it, it had to be with him. This story is about believing and keeping your hopes up. The Tooth Fairy visits Patty in a dream and says this to her, “not to give up and to keep looking for her lost sock.”  What my son and I liked most about the book was the ending. We both liked how the unique button on the sock fell off and rolled to help find the missing sock. It was like something magical was happening. Like the sock wanted to want its other half.
