Saus and Snoop is a wonderful early reader book about a sausage dog, I am assuming a dachshund. Saus has short legs, a long nose, and floppy ears. Saus has her own bowl and snuggles up in her bed every night, but Saus is lonely. Saus goes for walks everyday around the lake and through the forest. When Saus is left alone, she doesn’t like it. So, she chews on things. The family doesn’t know what to do. So, they decide to get a friend for Saus. They get a new dog called Snoop. Read the book to see how these two cute pups will melt your heart with friendship. 

This is a great early reader book for ages 2-6. The words are easy to read for kids and the story is fun to follow. This story is quite the coincidence as I actually have a brown miniature long-haired dachshund and after a couple years, we adopted a black mini dachshund. The illustrations are so heartwarming seeing the two become great friends. ​
