Olivia's Red Hair
by Taylor McGrath In this fun scavenger hunt book, the main character Olivia has hair that is different from everyone else. Follow along as she learns to love her hair by searching for everything around her that is red like her hair! The story starts with how special Olivia is with her beautiful red hair. She feels self conscious because she doesn't know anyone else with red hair like hers. She asks her parents if she can wear a hat to cover it up. Her parents try to make her feel better and let her know how special she is. They take her on a fun scavenger hunt in the kitchen, outside in their yard and on the way to school. They point out everything they see that's red that they love. This helps Olivia feel better about her red hair because so many things that are red are awesome. I liked this book for 2 reasons. It's a great way to show kids that even though they are different, you should still feel good about that. Our uniqueness is what makes us, us. The other reason I enjoyed this book is that it was a fun book. I had my 6 year old son read the book to my 2 year old daughter and we had her pointing out all of the red things on the pages. The illustrations were very good too. Purchase on Amazon See more inside the book on Instagram
