This book was a great way to discuss cancer with my son. We have had family members that have passed away from it but he doesn't really remember them. This is definitely a great idea to share with younger kids if you are experiencing cancer with a close loved one and need a way to help talk about it with your children. We both loved the illustrations. They were so colorful and detailed. I liked how it puts kind of a fantasy feel about cancer being a dragon. I really think that makes it easier to comprehend for a child. Some days the dragon is worse than others. The back of the book has some resources to help you and your family.
