I Love You, Monster!
by Raina Hassan, Dane Eisenbart (Illustrator) I Love You, Monster! helps children learn to acknowledge and befriend their fears, set healthy boundaries, and build social-emotional skills like compassion, courage, and flexibility. This book can be a tool for helping the little ones in your life learn how to identify and acknowledge their fears. With a Mindfulness-based approach, the book shows children how to check in with themselves, get centered, and connect with their heart-centered courage. By facing our fears, we can understand them better and learn how to resolve them or cope with them. This was a great book for my 6 year old. It opened up discussions about things he may be afraid of. We talked about how the monster represented something he may be afraid of and that he can face his fears by confronting the monster. I like how the book shows the boy using compassion to face his monster instead of anger. I think it teaches children the right way to confront things in their life. The illustrations are amazing. I love the detail in everything and that monster is so unique. www.playfulmagpie.com Purchase on Amazon See more inside the book on Instagram
