This is a really fun and quirky book. My son and daughter thought Gurty was really silly and laughed that he liked to wear socks on his feet, rode a donkey, and liked to sing and dance. The story is written in a nice easy rhyme which helps my son read. It was nice to be able to talk about things that Geese do. Like traveling south for the winter and why they fly in a big V. The overall message of not giving up and having dreams that you want to accomplish is wonderful for a children’s story. The illustrations are really well done. They look like something you’d see from a bestseller in a bookstore.
