This story was another great, simple and magical journey that Katie and Grooty go on. They go on an adventure and find a unicorn that is tangled in some branches. They help him free. The unicorn’s horn begins to glow and Katie and Grooty discover the secret that unicorns horn glow when kindness is around. They also shed their horns as they grow. The unicorn tells Katie to tug on the horn and take it as a gift.

D.L. Kruse is an amazing writer and does some of the best rhyming I’ve seen in children’s books since Julia Donaldson. If you haven’t checked out any of the Grooty books yet, I suggest you do so.
