Children's Book Review - Not Goodbye!

Not Goodbye is the story of Jordy,  a wonderful little girl with a diverse group of people who love and support her. Jordy has a big problem though; she hates to say goodbye! Whenever it’s time to leave Jordy gets so upset, especially when she is having fun. Jordy’s friends and family come together to teach Jordy that it’s not goodbye, it’s just see you later! By the end of the story she is able to share that lesson with someone very close to her heart.

This book was awesome for my son who has temper tantrums all the time. Especially when we leave somewhere when he is having fun. It was like reading a book about him. It was so easy to relate to him that we could stop and talk about each time Jordy got mad. By the end it was nice to show my son, “see how Jordy was able to apply what others taught her and now she can help out her grandma by saying the same thing.” I have never come across a book like this and I think it's a great book for kids who can’t control their anger. It's very relatable and realistic. The illustrations are great. I can really feel that “child pouty face” when they don’t get their way in Jordy’s facial expressions.
