This book is truly one that your child will remember forever. It is such a fun unique story with great adventure and beautiful rhyming. The illustrations alone will be stuck in your head for the rest of your life. This story was written by the author for her dad who passed away and for her kids. They never got to know each other, so this story is their adventure. This book is so wildly imaginative and magical, it’s hard to explain it. You must read it to fully understand how great it is. The story starts off with the boy being taught by the grandpa. Then the grandpa is on the news for capturing 7 monkey thieves. The town throws a party for him in outer space! That’s when the story turns and we meet the King of Mars. He is asking for grandpa's help with a monstrous creature. My son and I really loved this book. My son said the illustrations were his favorite that we have seen so far. He really loved the way the King of Mars looked. The book showcases a great bond between grandfather and grandson. The book also tackles important topics like helping others and facing your inner fears.
