This was a very fun and colorful book. My son and I really enjoyed it. The book is also written in a great rhyming scheme. Darby is bored with his usual gator ways and you see him looking off into the sky wondering what those lights are. His friend Gertie tells him all about the comets and stars. Now Darby makes a spacesuit and gathers supplies. With the help of a magical balloon, Darby makes his way into outer space. He spills his snacks out in space and gets sucked up into a wormhole that brings him to a new planet. This book is a great choice for some fun and adventure. The illustrations are great and have a lot going on in them. My son and I would stop and look through some of the pages to see all the great details.
