A Bike For Buster - By Junior and Reba McLaughlin
This is a heartwarming tale about the power of friendship and determination. The story is about Farmer Bob, his daughter Annabelle, and a horse named Buster. Annabelle would visit Buster everyday after school and they would play. Each day the kids would ride by on their bikes and say hi to Annabelle and Buster. On Annabelle’s birthday, she got exactly what she wanted, a bike. Now she was out riding with the kids instead of spending time with Buster. With the power of friendship and determination to be together, Annabelle and Buster pull off something amazing. Read the book to see how a horse named Buster learns to ride a bike.
My son and I really enjoyed this book. We have not read anything quite like this before. He laughed at the idea of a horse riding a bike and we really liked the bike that they built for Buster. This is a great book about true friendship which shows a great bond between a human and an animal.
