Bugtown is a little hidden town with lively, happy bugs who love to sing, dance, and wear shoes! When the Mayor announces that a new family is moving in, the bugs are very curious about them. They are different from all of the other bugs, but Bugtown finds that they have many of their own interesting talents. When their new friends suddenly disappear, the bugs are sad and worried about them. After their new friends finally return, Bugtown discovers that they are truly extraordinary!

I love this kind of book for my daughter. She's only 3 right now and shorter books like this with great rhyming really help me at bedtime. The story is short, simple, and cute. It also helps little ones learn about butterflies. The illustrations are very bright and fun. Bugtown looks like a place “I want to visit”, my daughter said. This is the kind of book you read a few times in a row. After several times my daughter started memorizing certain pages and then saying things like “oh no, the bugs went away.” And then, “yay, they came back.” Just an overall great book that is a fun, easy read.
