An adventurous ten-year-old girl named Milana befriends a forest gnome named Mr. Boilmer. It would be his first time going to school. He is, however, somewhat hesitant since he doesn't know how Milana's friends will react to him. While at school, Mr. Boilmer encounters all sorts of situations. In turn giving Milana and her friends a day they will never forget.

My 3 year old daughter loved this book. She sat through the entire thing and was really engaged. She kept pointing out where Mr. Boilmer was on certain pages. She liked seeing how little he was at his desk. And, we had lots of fun picking out our favorite foods on the page where Mr. Boilmer created the magic buffet. Mr. Boilmer is the perfect character that will keep your kids entertained. He has a real classic character feel. If you have kids that don’t like going to school, maybe this can help them want to go. We get to see him create a magic buffet, magically show floating math problems to help the kids with the answers, and float. The illustrations are awesome for this story. There is so much color and detail, my daughter loved them.
