Author Interview with Jennifer Jones of Dino Dan Superhero

When did you become an author?
As a self-published author within the last two years, my journey began in writing self-
help ebooks and original motivational sayings to provide enlightenment that inspires
people to cultivate self-growth, healing, self-discovery and betterment in their lives.
Within this process, I decided to write a children's ebook.

Do you have a writing background?
I don't have a formal writing background other than majoring in English during my
undergraduate studies.

How did you come up with the story?
While writing my self-improvement ebooks, I came to realize that children also need to
learn about having a positive mindset. I was inspired to write the story of Dino Dan Superhero as a way to teach children to understand that thinking positively, self-appreciation, trying out new things and encouraging others are true superhero qualities, among other positive, self-empowering values interwoven in the story. I wanted to impart early learning of numbers, alphabet, colors and a bit about the
solar system as Dino Dan Superhero goes on an out space adventure. The ebook is
intended for children to have blasting fun jumping around with the dinos while
learning self-development life skills in a way that they can understand.

How did you come up with the characters?
I came up with the characters being dinosaurs by thinking about what animals children really like. Dinos seem to always be a favorite for children.

What made you want to publish a children's book?
I think that it's important to build children's self esteem and teach them to think
positively from a very early age. I also couldn't leave out sharing the important message of self-worth and positivity with pre-teens and early teens and so I wrote Tweens: Tracy and Lisa pages from our Diaries.
Dino Dan Superhero is a wonderful addition to children’s book collections and a fun,
early learning addition to any homeschooling curriculum. And of course, it's a
wonderful bedtime story. You actually get two for one. There's a bonus bedtime story
told to the Dinos by Mama Lucy Dragon.

What is the best reaction from a reader so far?
I told little stories to my children as they were growing up and they delighted in them. It was a way to teach them valuable life lessons and encourage them to be positive minded, strong individuals. I enjoy and appreciate feedback from readers.

What is something you'd like people to take away from your books?
The focus of my writings is all about teaching self-development skills in an easy, fun,
productive, self-empowering way to help people and children cultivate a positive
mindset to create and manifest better in their lives.

Dino Dan Superhero is a wonderful choice of a children's book for parents to help
their children learn the invaluable life lessons of sharing, self-confidence, letting go of
anger, and thinking positively as well as experiencing that reading is a fun adventure.
