Editing Steps:

Reach out to me first at [email protected] first with any questions you may have.

If you’d like to proceed with editing your picture book, I will send you the link to my PayPal. You will send me your manuscript in a Word/text file.

Give me a week to work on your story. I will take notes on what could be improved upon and give you feedback on how to fix it.

How I Approach Editing

  • I balance kindness with honesty.
  • You'll always hear what’s working beautifully in your story—what made me smile, think, or feel—but I’ll also point out the areas that could be stronger, with suggestions to help you grow.
  • As a fellow writer, I understand how vulnerable it can feel to share your work. My goal is to support you through revisions with encouragement and care.
  • If you prefer a gentler touch or a harsher critique, just let me know when you send your piece. I’m happy to tailor my feedback to suit your preferences.

Why It’s So Important to Have Your Book Edited

I can’t tell you how many times someone has submitted their book to me for review, and within a few pages, I find spelling errors, incorrect punctuation, or sentences that make no sense. And these are from fully published books. Do yourself a favor and get the text of your story edited before you publish. I don’t care if you go through me or someone else, just make sure another set of eyes looks it over. It’s a terrible feeling: you work so hard on your book, finally get it published, you’re holding it in your hands... and then you see it—a mistake. Something so simple you should have caught. Now you have to go back, contact your publisher, update the main files, re-publish everything, and wait for the system to refresh. Save yourself the hassle—have someone edit your book.
