Carl’s misguided leadership ultimately leads the geese back to where they started, but it also allows Winston to nurse the cardinal to health. The story ends with a lesson learned by all: sometimes breaking tradition is necessary for the greater good.
 
Artie Knapp’s Where’s Winston? is a delightful tale that combines humor, emotion, and a valuable life lesson. The interplay between Ralph and Carl adds a touch of comic relief, while Winston’s unwavering dedication to the baby cardinal demonstrates compassion and bravery.
